Life continues to be busy and fast-paced. Our daily routine seems to have us on the run to keep up with the schedules of our boys. We are just about to complete our 6th year in Texas…outside of the furnace that they call ‘August’ here, it has been a great fit for our family and the growth of our boys.
Summer brought our yearly trip to Utah and California: family reunion at Aspen Grove, BYU sports camps, beach and Mexican food in Cali. We’ve accomplished a great deal of work in our new home, including a garden that produced exciting results. Looking forward to new adventures, wherever they may lie in the New Year.
Chase(12)- Braces off; Deacon at church; 7th grade football and basketball teams; summer AAU ball; scout camp with Grandpa; hiked Mount Timp with Mom and Dad; ‘A’ student; despite his small stature, his work ethic helps him to be a major player
Cameron(10)- Wrestling tournaments; drummer; braces off; out-going personality; lots of friends; anything ‘spy’ gear; streak of toughness that is unusual for our family; when in trouble and sent to room, fierce drumming follows
Brandon(9)- Baseball player-loves to pitch; competitor; basketball; thinks that uniforms are the perfect school attire; rides bike to friends houses; 9U Dragon baseball select team
Ryder(7)- Reins of ‘shyness’ appear to be loosening; loves to read, but thinks that Dad writes in a ‘foreign language’; baseball, soccer, basketball-he is fast, but very ‘polite’ to his opponents; determination to overcome anything
Trevor(5)- Kindergarten; huge appetite…we’re not sure where the food goes; soccer, baseball, basketball-he will do anything; big smile; not afraid to throw his little weight around with big brothers; very bright-we can’t slip anything by him
Julie- Dream car finally arrived…a suburban; tennis team; golf team; softball championship; photographer; home business; new road bike; schedule manager for boys; Trevor in school has given Julie a lot of free time
Chip- Settling in to private practice medicine; enjoys anesthesia, fishing in Key West with Julie; spends rare free moment at gym; loves watching my boys sports games; boy scout leader
We have had a wonderful year and hope that all is well for each and every one of you. This holiday season, we wish all of our friends and family a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.
