MERRY CHRISTMAS

2009 continued the Haddock family four-year circle of change. Chip finished his military commitment and we have found a new home in Southlake, Texas. In 15 years of marriage, we have moved 7 times and lived in four different states. We are grateful for the happiness that we have been able to find in each locale; San Antonio being, however, the toughest move to date for our boys.

We remain a family on the move. There never seems to be an idle moment. While trying to sell our home, we made a trip with all the boys to Hawaii and had a blast with some good friends. We also had a great summer trip to CA, OR & UT and visited with family and friends.

Chase (11)-6^th grade and intermediate school, is on the chess club and track club. Straight A’s on his report cards, loves to play football & basketball. Our new family babysitter…he is rewarded depending on the number of phone calls we receive from his brothers while we are out.

Cameron (9)-4^th grade, tackle football, just started basketball and loves to steal the ball, cub scouts, wrestling with brothers, enjoys reading and putting on theater productions. Number one item on Christmas list: to have his braces off.

Brandon (8)-3^rd grade, baptized in church, continues to impress with athletic prowess; Hope is that all the beating he receives from his older brothers will make him tougher. Point guard on his basketball team, made the first snowball when snowflakes fell this month.

Ryder (6)-kindergarten, lego enthusiast, soccer, riding bikes and scooters on our street with friends, quite the little artist, is best friends with his little brother Trevor. Says that he wants to draw cartoons when he grows up.

Trevor (4)-home alone with Mom, first season of soccer and was thrilled when he got his first trophy; loves to eat…we wonder where all this food goes in this little boy. Loves to sing songs all day and dress up in his Robin costume EVERYDAY!

Julie-life is eventful: plays on a Friday tennis team, golf with friends when possible, shuffles 5 kids to practices & games all week. Craft fair in Nov for her sign business--has been extremely busy with orders since, learning the new Mac computer and busy painting and decorating our new home.

Chip-a free man in a new job, misses friends made in military (but little else), working out, playing with boys-sharing his competitive drive in every thing he does, couldn’t be happier with career choice, waiting for In-N-Out to come to Texas.

We have had a wonderful year and hope that all is well for each and every one of you. This holiday season, we wish all of our friends and family a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year

Spent an amazing week in Medford, Oregon staying with my great friend Lisa Anderson and family. We drove through the Redwoods and down to the Oregon Coast. Was beautiful! The kids had a great time planning on the beach all day. We did a city wide track meet in Ashland and if you compete in a race you automatically get a ribbon. The kids loved it! They wanted to be in every event from running to high jumping to the softball throw. We meet up with Charie Shields and family and went wakeboarding and tubing, beautiful day on the lake. The final day we hit the river with a big raft and had a great time with the kids. We left Oregon on Friday morning and I followed Lisa to Logan Utah to her parents house. That was a killer 12 hour drive! Saw Mike Harmon and family on Saturday we spent the day at Bear Lake was so great to see him. Heading to Provo today to check Chase into BYU Basketball camp, he is going to stay in the dorms with his San Antonio friend Carter Robinson. They are very excited!

Our week in California is coming to an end. We have sure had a lot of fun visiting friends and family; from San Diego to Laguna Beach. The best night had to be last night, we celebrated Camerons 9th birthday at: www.piratedinneradventure.com what a show! We are now headed up to Moorpark to visit my cousin Heather for a couple days and then onto Medford Oregon for a week...
